I found this book very upsetting but couldn't put it down.
I love books about other civilisations which are written and then translated in such an accessible way. It brings home to me the fact that people are the same all over the world. Most want peace to live ordinary lives. It is difficult to see how a fair and lasting solution to the troubles in this land can be reached. Wars will not bring peace to the people of this country. This book is fantastic.

This book made me feel so angry. Never have I felt so passionately about something I have just read. It was fantastic. It's time for us to wake up and see the reality of what goes on in the world.
Violent, disturbing, tedious, upsetting - I hated this book and kept giving up on it, however I had to continue to the bitter end.
This has to be one of the most fascinating books I have read for a long time
