A Jarful Of Angels

by Babs Horton

Really lovely book, a poignant and sometime amusing tale about children caught up in a mystery which took place in their Welsh village in 1963. Thirty years later a retired detective tries to solve this mystery. The storyline encompasses thrills, mystery, adventure and gentle comedy. The author, to me, gives great insight into a child's mind and although slightly contrived I found this book totally charming. I've read all four books written by Babs Horton which has to be said, are similar but really delightful and easy reads.
