Complete Memoirs of George Sherston

by Siegfried Sassoon

Not so far now to the end. This i a semi-fictonal and autobiograhical book set in WW1. One of the war poets through that time, gives a biograhicalstorytype view of his time growing up not too real and war life more on his feelings than the detailing of the war. Writes fantastically, al litttle thought needed a times. goes through chihood and fox hunting, then the war and his feelings against the war leading him to edinburgh for convalesance. A good read, quite heroic, can seem long winded at times but gald i picked this up.
