Wasting Police Time:The Crazy World of the War on Crime

by PC David Copperfield

I think this book comes under the fresh section.
PC David Copperfield writes about what life is like as a police officer. He is swamped by paperwork and is frustrated not to be able to walk the beat and deal with real crime. Some of the situations he has to deal with are quite an eye opener and this book made me emphathise and understand what it must be like to be a police man. It made me laugh at times but it was also quite sad when you realise the state Britain is in today.

A brilliantly funny, poignant book. A real eye-opener and a must for anyone who is thinking of joining the police or wants to know what life as a police officer in Britain is really like.
