The Cat Who Came in From the Cold

by Deric Longden

I love all of Deric Longden's books and this one about a tiny cat, Thermal, who comes into his life and really made me laugh. His conversations with Thermal and the way he gives inanimate objects personalities of their own made me look differently at ordinary, everyday things. Reading this book was like reading a long letter from a very old friend and cheered me up no end.

I absolutely agree, I'm not really a cat person but the way he invests even inanimate objects with character is very funny. I can always rely on one of his books making me laugh and they do stand a lot of re-reading.
