Privacy policy

The site mangers are committed to creating a website that is easy to use and is respectful of the users’ privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we use information we collect about you and how you can instruct us if you prefer to limit the use of such information.

Registration is not required to post contributions to this site except in the live chat area, when you will be asked for personally identifiable information. If you choose to withhold such information where it is expressly required, we may not be able to give you access to the discussion area of the site.

We will need your email address if you feed back to us or ask us to send you information.

We collect two types of information from you - information you submit to us and information our site gathers automatically

By entering your details on any forms on site you confirm that the site managers may use such information for our internal business purposes including monitoring the use of the site and compiling statistics. If you do not wish for your details to be used for this purpose you should not complete the registration details. Nothing in this section affects your rights under the Data Protection Act 1998.

Usage tracking

We welcome everyone to search and use our site without charge. As you browse our website we automatically gather and store the following information about your visit in so that we can track the use of our website in order to make improvements:

The internet address of the website from which you linked to our site (i.e. the previous site you visited before you came to us)

Your IP address (the Internet address of your computer not the e-mail address) and other standard tracking data to evaluate which parts of our site you visit and how long you stay there. This information is aggregated with tracking data from all site visitors to measure the number of visits, average time spent on the web site, pages viewed, etc.

We use aggregated information to help us evaluate what are the most popular areas of the site and to give us new ideas for content. Site use tracking data is never associated with individually identifiable information that would reveal anything personal about you.
